The Irish Consortium on Gender Based Violence is delighted to announce our annual seminar. In partnership with the NWCI and NYCI, we invite you to join us in celebrating 10 years of the ICGBV, as we explore how engaging men and boys can be an effective tool in the fight to end violence against women and girls. The seminar will bring together global perspectives on transforming men’s attitudes and behaviours to end violence against women and girls from organisations working in Malawi, Lebanon and Ireland.
We are honoured to have our keynote speech delivered by President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, who has shown his solidarity for gender equality as a Global HeForShe Champion.
Other speakers include;
- Minister Sean Sherlock, Minister of State for Development, Trade Promotion and North South Co-operation.
- Anthony Nabil Keedy, Program Manager – Masculinities Unit at ABAAD: Resource Center for Gender Equality, Lebanon
- Orla O’Connor, Director National Women’s Council of Ireland
There will be a light lunch to finish off our day.
We are looking forward to welcoming you on International Day for Eliminating Violence Against Women.
